Franz and Barbara Kahr
Since 1972 the Kahr family has been welcoming their guests in the Simonyhof. Together with their exclusive adventure program and bookings partner Young Austria, they ensure for a stay that is filled with adventure in this diverse summer and winter region. Every morning Barbara and Franz Kahr are the first ones up, getting breakfast ready, and also the ones who turn the last lights off in the Simonyhof at night. It’s a full-time job that the two enjoy doing and that has been in the family for two generations.
A great advantage of the house is its location. The Simonyhof is located in a quiet place, away from any main roads, and very close to nature. There is a great deal of space around the house. In the summer there are possibilities for fun, exercise, and adventure. With bikes you can get to the refreshing lakes. Right in front of the house sports enthusiasts can play on the large fun court or on the beach volleyball court. And in the evenings you can enjoy the romantic camping fire under the stars or the regular grill evenings which are of course included in your stay. Additionally: the Simonyhof has its own farm. That is where the delicious meat for dinner comes from. In the winter you will quickly discover the cross country ski loop right in front of the house. And, the closest ski lift for both experienced and beginner skiers and snowboarders is only a five minute bus ride from the house (4x daily free transfer)
And, if the weather doesn’t cooperate the house has many corners for relaxing and also a new and modern gymnasium for exercise, romping, and games. Those that like it here always come back. The Kahr family is always happy to see familiar faces that return each year.

Who cares if the weather doesn’t cooperate? The Simonyhof has a brand new private gymnasium
(10 x 18 x 5m), which is well equipt with all kinds of sports equipment.
