Summer is here – at Storchencamp Purbach on the Neusiedler lake. For thirty years the Gmeiner family who own the house along with their exclusive adventure program booking partner Young Austria have organized unforgettable summer holidays with individual adventure possibilities. Mrs. Steiner and Mrs. Braunsdorfer who run house welcome their guests.
The Storchencamp is ideal for those that want a quiet location with lots of room for exercise and fun at the house and, at the same time, need a central location that is convenient for day trips. Right next to the house is the entrance to the heated pool that can be used daily free of charge. With the high probability of good weather during the summer months the prospect of a daily swim is not just a hollow promise. But there is plenty to do regardless of the weather. The Storchencamp is located right along a great bike path. So, you can borrow bicycles from the house and discover the region around the Neusiedler lake.
You can also take day trips to nearby Hungary. Or, you can really experience “Summer in the City” and make a vist to the capital city of Vienna which is only 60 kilometers away. After so many activities and so much fun you will be in need of some good food. Once a week grill master Hannes Neumayer cooks up a great evening barbeque.

On the ground floor there are two rooms that are wheelchair accessible and handicap friendly

Communal areas:
• 4 living rooms and one large dining rool, store, TV + DVD, Flip-Chart, Disco, WLAN (for a fee).

Volleyball court, table tennis, pit-pat-area, sports and game field, streetball, Grill areas, 2 tennis courts (2 hours daily free), 35 bikes (can be rented for free once every stay – must be negotiated with other groups), Hammond-Organ,
skate ramps 100 m away; heated pool with beach volleyball court right next to the youth hostel (free entrance)

Every guest receives the
NEUSIEDLERSEE CARD for free. Allows for free entrance into the various lake beaches and pools, as well as use of bikes, public transportation, adventure parks, and concerts.

Special notes:
In summer it can be very hot in the attic rooms.
In some cases little storage space in the rooms.
Because of the close proximity to the lake there are many mosquitoes in the summer time and we ask that you take proper precautions: (creams, gels, etc.)
